"Silkscreen printing is a beautiful method of making design patterns on polymer clay. Never-ending possibilities encouraged me to design and produce my own silkscreens that would allow polymer clay enthusiasts to create new patterns on polymer and rethinking this technique in new ways. Our new silkscreens are designed for both multiple and single printing, we tested and chose the perfect material for fine detail and created wonderful environment-friendly packaging."
Silkscreen printing is a stencil method of printmaking in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and by wetting the substrate, transferred onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. As the screen rebounds away from the substrate the ink remains on the substrate. This technic allows fine details printing.
